A lot of what web design is – is visual. A lot of what Instagram is – is visual. So is Pinterest, and so on (you get the point!). With that being said, we want to use the visual aspect of social media to our greatest advantage. Luckily the internet has some great graphic design platforms out there and one of them is a little friend of mine called Canva.
If you’ve never heard of Canva or wanna up your game in the graphic design world – then you’ve come to the right place. Also, if you have no idea what you’re doing on any Adobe application (like me) then KEEP READING. Canva is the most user-friendly platform out there. It doesn’t matter if you have little to no graphic design – it’s simply, just that EASY. So let’s get into it, shall we?
Whether you’re creating a post for Instagram, a Facebook cover, and so on, Canva has the pre-made dimensions already set. Also, if you have no idea what you’re making (such as a logo, or invitation) then have no fear! You can search ideas such as “coffee logo, christmas invitation” and the layout designs are endless to choose from. You’re just a click away from having a template all ready for you.
Endless Stock Photos
Canva has stock photos available for usage (without any watermarks! bingo!) so if you don’t have your own then you have plenty waiting for you. And if you do have your own, it’s as easy as uploading, dragging and dropping them wherever you want on your layout.
The free version ROCKS
The free version gives you a lot of artistic range. Canva comes with hundreds of fonts, photos, background pictures, elements and shapes which is basically a steal. Unfortunately, I don’t know of many design platforms besides this one that let you use so many things for free (hence why I’m advocating so hard for Canva).
You can create more than just a social post or picture
Canva gives you the opportunity to go total pro by making posters, social media posts, T-Shirts, Websites, etc. And like I said before, even if you have no graphic design experience – Canva continues to make any project super easy.
So if you’re sick and tired of reading the word “canva” then I highly suggest taking a trip over to their page and trying it out for yourself. It’s worth all the hype it gets and the positive reviews are on-going. Step up your game and get out there peeps!
