Okay so this post is gonna be a quick one because instead of repeating myself a thousand times on my Instagram story I figure let’s just write a blog and people can reference from there.
I always talk about the different platforms I use that help my business run as smooth as it can (which is ironic because it’s never smooth when you’re starting out lol). However, this specific platform is one that I don’t think anyone knows about as well as doesn’t believe it’s true.
So, let’s get into it.
Are you ever looking for filler stock photos from somewhere when you’re designing a social media post, a poster, an ad, etc. but you either have to buy them or there’s watermarks on it? Because I have, and it’s a PAIN. Obviously you can’t use another person’s pictures without their permission and you don’t want to use non-quality photos either. Which is where Unsplash comes into play.
What’s Unsplash?
Unsplash is a website where you can search up any kind of picture and it provides you with FREE. PHOTOS. that you can use ANYWHERE. You can use it for both personal and commercial purposes. Brilliant, kind photographers upload their photos onto this site so creatives like you and I can use them as bomb stock photos for our work. And for my web design – it’s been a life saver.
Another great feature of Unsplash is that once you download the photo you want, it gives you the opportunity to donate to the artist that took the picture or send them a thank you message.
If you use their photos right, it can truly make a difference in your work. It makes you look professional and you can be confident in the quality of pictures. So next time you’re designing some creative work – hop on Unsplash so you can thank me later!
